Lake Norman Handyman is a family business based in Mooresville, NC. We're not a franchise and we're not a platform. We're a crew of family members who grew up building, fixing, and figuring things out — and turned that into a business.
Where it started
Adam's dad Mike — Pop, Poppy, depending on who you ask — is the kind of person who never called anyone to fix something. If it was broken, you figured it out. If it needed building, you built it. He had the boys in the garage, on the roof, under the sink from the time they could hold a flashlight. Not because he ran a business, but because that's how he believed you raise kids: teach them to solve problems with their hands.
That stuck. Adam and his brother-in-law Matt became the kind of homeowners who do their own work — not because they couldn't afford to hire someone, but because they already knew how. Years of that turned into neighbors asking for help, which turned into referrals, which turned into the realization that there was a real business here.
The crew
Lake Norman Handyman is a family operation. The crew is:
Adam
Runs the business, works the jobs, and handles the subscriber relationships. The one who answers your texts.
Mike (Pop)
The one who started it all. Decades of hands-on experience and the reason the rest of us know what we're doing.
Matt
Adam's brother-in-law. Same upbringing, same standards. Brings a contractor's eye to every job.
Clint & Troy
Adam's nephews. Learning the trade and the business side. The next generation is already in the truck.
Why the subscription model
Every homeowner has the same list — things they've been meaning to fix, upgrades they want to make, seasonal tasks that keep slipping. The traditional handyman model forces you to quote each item separately, wait for availability, and explain your house to a different person every time. That friction means the list never gets shorter.
We designed the subscription model to eliminate that friction. You pay one predictable monthly fee, get the same crew on a set schedule, and work through the list systematically. No quoting. No chasing. The list moves.

Lake Norman Handyman is operated by Team No Sweat LLC, founded in 2026 in Mooresville, NC. We carry general liability insurance and operate within North Carolina's handyman exemption (projects under $40,000). We're based in the Lake Norman area and serve Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Denver, Sherrills Ford, and select Charlotte neighborhoods. See our full service areas page for details.
