A handyman can replace faucets, toilets, showerheads, garbage disposals, and other fixtures that connect to existing supply and drain lines. If the job requires soldering copper, running new pipe, or modifying drain lines, a licensed plumber is needed. In North Carolina, plumbing licensure is required for work beyond fixture replacement.
