What's included in your plan
Drywall repair and painting are included in all subscription plans. Small patches and touch-ups typically take 30-60 minutes per area. Full room repaints require more time and may span a full visit or be scheduled as a dedicated paint day. We recommend batching paint work — keep a running list of rooms and we'll knock them out efficiently across visits.
What it costs
Labor for drywall and painting is included in your subscription. Paint, primer, drywall compound, tape, and supplies are billed at cost plus 15%. We source materials for you — no hardware store runs required on your end.

How much does it cost to repaint a room in the Lake Norman area?
With a Lake Norman Handyman subscription, you pay only for paint and supplies — typically $80-$150 per room for quality paint and primer. The labor is covered by your plan. Without a subscription, room repaints in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area typically cost $300-$800 per room depending on size and prep work needed.
Can you match existing paint color and texture?
Yes. We color-match using existing paint cans (if you have them) or by taking a sample chip to the paint store. For texture matching on drywall repairs, we match orange peel, knockdown, smooth, and skip trowel finishes. Older textured ceilings can be trickier — we'll assess and let you know what to expect.
How long does it take to repaint a bedroom?
A standard 12×12 bedroom with minimal prep (no major patching, furniture moved) takes 3-4 hours for two coats. Rooms needing significant drywall repair, dark-to-light color changes, or ceiling work take longer. We'll estimate visit count based on your specific rooms.
Do you fix water-damaged drywall?
Yes, once the source of water is fixed. We cut out damaged drywall, patch with new material, tape, mud, sand, texture-match, prime, and paint. Small areas fit in a single visit. Larger water damage may span two visits due to dry time between mudding and painting.
Can you remove popcorn ceiling texture?
We can scrape popcorn ceilings in individual rooms as part of your subscription visits. Full-home popcorn removal is a larger project that we'd quote separately. Important: homes built before 1980 may have asbestos in popcorn texture — we recommend testing before removal, which we can coordinate for you.
