Exterior maintenance is included in all subscription plans. Small repairs like siding patches, soffit reattachment, and hardware swaps fit within a standard visit. Larger exterior projects are quoted at the subscriber rate.
What it costs
Exterior maintenance labor is included in your subscription. Replacement siding, fascia boards, caulk, hardware, and other materials are billed at cost plus 15%.
Questions we get about exterior maintenance
Can a handyman replace vinyl siding?
Yes. We replace individual vinyl siding panels and sections damaged by storms, impact, or age. Matching existing siding color and profile can sometimes be tricky with older homes, but we source replacement panels from local suppliers. For full-home residing, a siding contractor is a better fit.
What is soffit and fascia and why does it matter?
Soffit is the material under your roof overhang. Fascia is the board at the edge of your roofline where gutters attach. Both protect your roof structure from moisture and pests. Damaged or missing soffit and fascia can let water, squirrels, and insects into your attic. We repair and replace both as part of your subscription.
Do you install gutter guards?
Yes. We install several types of gutter guards including mesh screens, foam inserts, and micro-mesh systems. Installation typically takes 2-4 hours for a full home depending on roof height and gutter length. Gutter guards significantly reduce (but don't eliminate) the need for gutter cleaning.
Can you help with drainage issues in my yard?
We handle minor drainage improvements like extending downspouts, installing splash blocks, regrading small areas near the foundation, and installing French drains for localized water issues. Major grading or drainage engineering should be assessed by a landscape contractor.
How do I know if my soffit needs repair?
Look for sagging, discoloration, peeling paint, visible holes, or signs of animal entry (chew marks, nesting material). If you hear scratching in your attic, damaged soffit is often the entry point. We inspect soffit and fascia during seasonal prep visits and flag issues before they become major problems.
