The subscription model
How it works
Lake Norman Handyman is a subscription service. You pay a flat monthly fee and get a dedicated crew on a regular schedule. No quoting each task, no searching for a new handyman every time something comes up, no explaining your house to a stranger.
Choose a plan
Pick Essential ($499/month, 1 visit, 4 hours) or Priority ($899/month, 2 visits, 8 hours total). Not sure which fits? Most homeowners with a typical punch list start with Essential and upgrade if they need more time.
- No long-term contracts
- Pause or cancel with 30 days notice
- Upgrade or downgrade at any time
Build your task list
Before your first visit, share your list — items you've been putting off, things that need regular attention, seasonal tasks coming up. We review the list and flag anything that needs a specialist (structural, HVAC, etc.) vs. what our crew can handle.
- Any task our crew can do legally and safely
- Multiple tasks per visit, not one at a time
- We flag tasks that need a licensed specialist
- List rolls over month to month — nothing gets forgotten
Same crew, same schedule
Your dedicated crew arrives on the agreed date each month. No new person to explain things to, no re-quoting tasks they've already seen. They know your house, they know what's been done, and they work through your current list.
- Same two-person crew every visit
- Consistent scheduling — same day of month when possible
- Crew tracks what's been done and what's next
- You're not on-site required — we can work with your normal routine
Materials billed at cost
Labor is covered by your subscription. Materials (lumber, fixtures, hardware, paint, etc.) are purchased for your project and billed at cost plus 15%. You'll see an itemized materials invoice after each visit — no mystery markups.
- Labor included in subscription
- Materials billed at cost + 15%
- Itemized receipt after each visit
- You can also supply your own materials
What we don't do
We're not the right fit for structural work, HVAC systems, full electrical panel upgrades, or complex plumbing (main line replacement, etc.). Those require licensed specialists we're not set up to provide. We handle the long tail of home maintenance — the dozens of tasks most homeowners defer because they can't justify calling a different contractor for each one.
If you have a task list that never gets shorter, you're the right fit for a subscription.
