Subscription Service Agreement
Effective Date: March 16, 2026
1. Parties
This Subscription Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Team No Sweat LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company operating under the trade name Lake Norman Handyman(“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and the individual or entity identified on the subscription enrollment form (“Client,” “you,” or “your”).
By enrolling in a subscription plan or accepting services, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
2. Subscription Plans
2.1 Plan Options

2.2 One-Off Service Calls
Non-subscribers and subscribers requiring service outside their plan may request a one-off service call at a minimum charge of $349 (includes the first 2 hours of labor). Additional time is billed at $150/hour.
2.3 Additional Visits for Subscribers
Active subscribers may book additional visits beyond their plan allocation at a preferred rate of $125/hour (2-person crew). Subscribers receive scheduling priority over non-subscriber one-off requests.
3. Scope of Services
3.1 Services Included
During each scheduled visit, our crew will work from your task list in the order you prioritize. Services generally include:
- Carpentry and trim (crown molding, baseboards, shelving, door repairs, built-ins)
- Drywall and painting (patch, repair, touch-up, accent walls, full room repaints)
- Deck and fence work (board replacement, staining, sealing, post repairs, gate fixes)
- Door and window service (hanging, hardware, weatherstripping, screen repair)
- Electrical fixture installation (ceiling fans, light fixtures, dimmer switches, outlet and switch replacements)
- Plumbing fixture installation (faucet replacement, toilet repairs, garbage disposal install)
- Pressure washing (decks, driveways, siding, patios, walkways)
- Furniture assembly and mounting (flat-pack builds, wall mounting, TV mounting)
- Smart home installation (thermostat, doorbell cameras, smart locks, sensor lights)
- Seasonal maintenance (gutter cleaning, caulking, storm prep, winterization)
- Exterior maintenance (siding repair, soffit and fascia, mailbox, house numbers)
3.2 Services Excluded
The following are outside the scope of this Agreement:
- Licensed electrical work beyond fixture replacement (new circuits, panel upgrades, wiring)
- Licensed plumbing work beyond fixture replacement (re-piping, sewer lines, water heater installation)
- HVAC system installation, repair, or maintenance
- Structural modifications, load-bearing wall work, or foundation repairs
- Work requiring a North Carolina General Contractor license (projects exceeding $30,000)
- Roofing (full roof replacement or repair requiring roofing-specific insurance)
- Tree removal or major landscaping
- Work requiring engineering stamps, architectural drawings, or permits (unless separately quoted)
- Hazardous material abatement (asbestos, lead paint, mold remediation)
If a task falls outside our scope, we will inform you and can recommend qualified specialists.
4. Scheduling and Access
4.1 Recurring Schedule
Upon enrollment, we will work with you to establish a recurring visit day and approximate time window. We will provide at least 48 hours' notice for any schedule change.
4.2 Client Responsibilities
- Task list: Provide a written or digital task list at least 24 hours before each scheduled visit.
- Property access: Ensure the crew can access the service areas of your property at the scheduled time.
- Clear work areas: Work areas should be reasonably cleared and accessible. If excessive clearing is required, that time counts toward your included hours.
- Pets and safety: Please secure pets during service visits.
4.3 Cancellations and No-Shows
- Client cancellation (48+ hours notice): Visit may be rescheduled within the same billing month at no charge, subject to crew availability.
- Client cancellation (less than 48 hours): Visit is forfeited. No credit, refund, or rollover.
- No-show / no access: If the crew arrives and cannot access the property, the visit is forfeited.
- Company cancellation: If we cancel for any reason, we will reschedule within the same billing month or within the first week of the following month at no additional charge.
4.4 Unused Hours
Hours do not roll over. Unused visits within a billing cycle do not carry forward to subsequent months.
5. Materials
Labor is included in your subscription. Materials required for tasks are billed separately.
- Procurement: We will purchase materials on your behalf from local suppliers. You may alternatively provide your own materials.
- Markup: Materials procured by us are billed at cost plus 15% to cover procurement time, transportation, and handling.
- Approval: For any individual material expense exceeding $250, we will obtain your written approval before purchasing.
- Invoicing: Material charges are invoiced separately, typically within 5 business days of the visit. Payment is due within 15 days.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Subscription Billing
- Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance via Stripe on your billing date.
- You authorize Team No Sweat LLC to charge your payment method on file for the recurring subscription amount and any outstanding material invoices.
- If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it again within 3 business days. If payment is not received within 7 days, your subscription will be suspended.
6.2 One-Off and Add-On Billing
One-off service calls and add-on visits are invoiced upon completion. Payment is due at the time of service or within 15 days of invoice.
6.3 Late Payments
Invoices not paid within 15 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of $50.00 per occurrence, plus interest at 8% per annum on the outstanding balance (the maximum rate permitted under North Carolina General Statutes §24-1.1).
6.4 Taxes
All prices are exclusive of applicable sales and use taxes. North Carolina sales tax will be applied to material charges where required by law.
7. Term and Termination
7.1 Term
This Agreement begins on the date of your first subscription payment and continues on a month-to-month basis until terminated by either party.
7.2 Client Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time by providing 30 days' written notice (email to hello@lakenormanhandyman.com or text to our business number). After cancellation:
- You will receive any visits remaining in your current paid billing cycle.
- No refunds will be issued for partial months.
- Outstanding material invoices remain due and payable.
7.3 Company Termination
We may terminate this Agreement with 30 days' written notice for any reason. We may terminate immediately if:
- Your account has an outstanding balance more than 30 days past due.
- You or members of your household engage in conduct that is abusive, threatening, or unsafe toward our crew.
- The property presents safety hazards that have not been remediated.
In the event of immediate termination, we will refund the pro-rata unused portion of your current month's subscription fee.
8. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant that all work performed under this Agreement will be completed in a professional and workmanlike manner, consistent with industry standards for residential handyman services.
- Warranty period: 90 days from the date the work is performed.
- Coverage: If a defect in our workmanship becomes apparent within the warranty period, we will return and correct the issue at no additional labor charge.
- Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, acts of nature, modifications made by others, or failure of pre-existing conditions.
- Reporting: Warranty claims must be reported within the 90-day period. We will schedule a warranty visit within 10 business days.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Property Damage
We carry general liability insurance. If our crew causes damage to your property during the course of performing services, we will notify you immediately and, at our option, repair or reimburse you for the reasonable cost of repair.
9.2 Limitation
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NORTH CAROLINA LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT, OR (B) $10,000.
9.3 Exclusions
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Nothing in this section limits liability for bodily injury, death, or fraud caused by our negligence.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team No Sweat LLC from claims arising from your breach of this Agreement, your negligence, undisclosed pre-existing property conditions, or disputes with third parties related to work performed on your property.
We agree to indemnify and hold harmless you from claims arising from our breach of this Agreement, our negligence, property damage caused by our crew, or liens filed by our suppliers for amounts we have been paid.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Good-Faith Negotiation
The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days after written notice.
11.2 Mediation
If negotiation is unsuccessful, either party may initiate mediation in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Costs shall be shared equally.
11.3 Governing Law and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
12. Photography and Testimonial Release
By enrolling, you grant Team No Sweat LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to photograph completed work and use those photographs for marketing purposes. Photographs will depict our work only and will not include identifiable persons without separate consent.
You may revoke this license at any time by providing written notice.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with any enrollment form and material invoices, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
- Amendments: Material amendments require your affirmative written consent. Non-material changes take effect with 30 days' notice.
- Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Assignment: You may not assign this Agreement without our prior written consent.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control.
- Privacy: Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Your Right to Cancel
NOTICE OF RIGHT TO CANCEL: YOU, THE BUYER, MAY CANCEL THIS TRANSACTION AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DATE OF THIS TRANSACTION.
If this Agreement was signed at your residence or at a location other than our principal place of business, you have the right to cancel within three (3) business days, pursuant to the North Carolina Home Solicitation Sales Act (NC General Statutes §25A-39 through §25A-42). To exercise this right, notify us in writing. Any payments made will be refunded within 10 business days.
This 3-day right to cancel does not apply if the transaction was conducted entirely online or by telephone at your initiation.
15. Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By selecting a subscription plan on lakenormanhandyman.com, checking the box confirming “I have read and agree to the Subscription Service Agreement,” and completing payment through Stripe, you accept all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
