What's included in your plan
Door and window work is included in all subscription plans. Most tasks — hardware swaps, screen repairs, weatherstripping, door adjustments — take 15-60 minutes each. Hanging a new prehung door takes 1-2 hours. Window replacements are a larger project and may be quoted separately depending on scope.
What it costs
All door and window repair labor is included in your subscription. Hardware, weatherstripping, screens, and other materials are billed at cost plus 15%.
Questions we get about doors & windows
Can you hang a new interior door?
Yes. We hang prehung and slab interior doors. Prehung doors (frame included) take 1-2 hours. Slab doors (door only, fitted to existing frame) take 2-3 hours because the hinges and latch need to be mortised to fit. Both fit within a standard subscription visit.
Why does my door stick in summer?
Wood doors expand with humidity — very common in the Lake Norman area during summer months. We can plane or sand the sticking edge for a permanent fix, or adjust the hinges to shift the door in the frame. This is a 15-30 minute fix during a subscription visit.
Do you install smart locks?
Yes — smart locks, keypad deadbolts, and smart doorbell cameras are all services we handle. See our Smart Home page for the full list. Most smart lock installs take 30-60 minutes.
Can you replace a window screen?
Yes. We rescreen window and door screens using your existing frames, or we can source replacement screens. Rescreening a standard window takes 15-20 minutes. We stock common screen mesh and spline sizes on the truck.
Do you replace windows?
We can replace individual windows in retrofit (insert) situations where the existing frame is sound. Full-frame window replacements or whole-house window projects are better suited for a window contractor. We're happy to advise on whether your situation is a handyman job or a specialty one.
